their pollen is sticky and heavy and they are most commonly pollinated by insects because their pollen doesn’t blow far in the wind

No personal story here - I’ve just always thought umbrella’s were a cool invention

My grandfather was the town's postmaster and my grandmother taught elementary school. I felt so comfortable wandering through those rows of shade in the heat of the Okanagan summer sun.
