Antique Japanese Edo Era c 1880's Forged Iron Tansu Key 2.25" Lacquerware The highly figured wood grainThis is a hand forged tansu key from the early 1800s of the mid Edo period (c. 1800). It fits the kind of lock seen in photo (lock not included). With exception of signs of past use, (minor oxidation, and an aged patina) this tansu key remains in overall good condition. It measure 2 1 4" long with a shaft opening of 1 4" (5. 5cm x 6mm). The last picture gives an example of the kind of tansu chest that this key was once used. We have an inventory of
